Hamilton, Victor P. The Book of Genesis: Chapters 1–17. Grand Rapids:Eerdmans, 1990. (Many excellent comments, but indecisive on matters of authorship, the flood, or the "sons of God" in chapter 6.)
Leupold, H..C. Exposition of Genesis. 2 vols. Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1949. (An essential work on the book of Genesis from a scholar with a pastor's heart. Leupold was both a pastor and a professor of semitics.)
Morris, Henry M. The Genesis Record. Grand Rapids: Baker, now also with Creation Life Publishers, 1976. (Written primarily for the layman, this work is conservative, crearly written, to the point, and with an emphasis on science on the first eleven chapters.)
